You may have decided you want less of a pouty lip or less volume in your cheeks. We can dissolve hyaluronic acid filler in areas you which to remove or modify filler.

Hylenex acts quickly, usually within 15 minutes; however, there may be immediate swelling. You may see results within 72 hours.
Multiple sessions of dissolving may be needed based on the quantity of filler being dissolved, the type of filler, and your unique reaction to the treatment. Once the product is dissolved, it will not return. If desired, the area may be treated again with dermal filler.

● Step 2: Treatment
If the decision is to dissolve, you will be injected with hylenex (and lidocaine) for comfort. It takes a few minutes and is generally comfortable.
● Step 3: Post-treatment
The area may be red and swollen after. It resolves within 24 hours, but if you bruise it may take a few days for the bruise to resolve. Depending on many factors, dissolving the filler may take a few sessions.
● Hylenex will be injected into the targeted area, which may cause swelling or bruising. Sometimes, filler does not dissolve easily and you may need 1-3 sessions to fully dissolve the unwanted filler. This will be reassessed at every appointment.
We use numbing in the product, but you may feel a pinch at the start of the treatment.

After a consultation we will determine how many vials you’ll need for your result. Often, we will use 1-3 vials during the visit and reassess a few days later to determine if more dissolving is needed, using another 1-2 vials.
