During the hands-on portion, you will experience how to use both needle and cannula.

Day 1 Lecture: Didactic Training

  • 8 hours of lecture on essential topics goes beyond the basics of filler education.
  • Full facial balancing using fundamental treatment areas of the cheeks, chin, jawline, marionettes, and nasolabial folds using a cannula and needle
  • History of dermal fillers, indications, patient selection, and contraindications.
  • Set realistic expectations, explain treatments clearly, and build trust with your clients for long-lasting relationships.
  • In-depth facial anatomy, facial shapes, and aging for male and female patients.
  • Beauty goals across ethnicities and how to apply facial rejuvenation principles to treatment plans for a natural-looking result.
  • Different filler types, and learn how to choose the best product for each client’s unique needs.
  • Best injection practices and dexterity pearls with hands-on experience.
  • Assessments focused on a holistic approach to rejuvenate the face with fillers.
  • Learn essential safety guidelines and techniques to minimize risks and maximize outcomes. This includes how to avoid potential complications, identify and address them promptly, and keep your clients safe.
  • Consultation techniques, safety protocols, safe handling, patterns and placements, techniques, and quantity.

Days 2 Hands-On Training

  • 8 hours of hands-on practice injection techniques on live models.
  • Multi-modality consultation, including filler, neurotoxin, and skincare recommendations.
  • Full face assessments and the aging process focused on balance, proportion, ligaments, fat pads and skin for the cheeks, chin, jawline, marionettes, and nasolabial folds.
  • Properly recommend multi-modality and multi-area treatments to your patients for the best outcomes.

Prerequisites

  • You must have neuromodulator experience, as it serves as a building block to needle dexterity when injecting dermal filler. This can be satisfied by the Introduction to Full Face Botulinum Toxin course, or equivalent, or currently treating patients with neurotoxin in a practice.
  • No prior dermal filler experience is required. This course is intended for licensed medical professionals, including Physicians (MD/DO), Nurse Practitioners (NP), Registered Nurses (RN), Physician Assistants (PA), and Dentists (DDS/DMD). A valid and unrestricted New York license is required for hands-on participation. Observation spots are available upon request.

Who can enroll in this course?

Licensed medical professionals: MDs, DOs, RNs, NPs, PAs, and Dentists. A valid and unrestricted New York license is required for hands-on participation. Observation spots are available upon request.

The certification process includes an intensive didactic session and hands-on training. Please note that a nationally recognized “dermal filler injection certification” does not exist. You will be awarded a Certificate of Completion for completing the two-day intensive course.

Participants spend a full day (8 hours) practicing injection techniques on live models, in small groups of 4, ensuring ample opportunities to learn to address the needs of a diverse set of patients.
